Emergency Management
If desired we can develop Emergency Management Plans to meet compliance with the Hazardous Substances (Emergency Management) Regulations 2001 across all substance classes and uses. These same regulations specify requirements for two other important elements
- Fire extinguishers. With the background experience the team brings to this subject matter we can provide practical and effective advice on these issues, including the often tricky reference necessary in company health and safety plans to the question; are the staff expected to use extinguishers to fight fires. The inherent liability is something that requires careful consideration.
- Signage. The New Zealand Chemical Industry Council (NZCIC) has available an ACoP on signage providing one means of compliance with the HSNO legislation. We can provide pragmatic advice on placement and content.
