Approved Handler Training:
We hold courses in:
This course meets the requirements of Approved Handler awareness training and is compliant with Regulations 4 and 5 of the Hazardous Substances (Personnel Qualifications) Regulations 2001 and subsequent amendments. PricingApproximately $300.00 per person (Varies with disbursements) for a 5 year certificate.Standard costs per person = $235.00 + GST + disbursements. Approved Handler Wallet Card $20.00 + GST: Handy wallet sized card to show when receiving deliveries of chemicals. Much easier then carrying around an A4 sized certificate! Just let us know on the attendance form on the day if you would like to order one and it will be sent with your Certificate. Disbursements can include: travel costs for trainer (this varies depending on the location), training venue costs and catering costs, which will be equally shared between all participants. The above provides part of the qualification set out in section 5 of the Personal Qualifications regulations. Additional to that; Approved Handlers must have knowledge of the substances they are handling. This parallels a requirement under section 12 of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 for identified risks and has been in place since 1992. Either the Manager or the course participant’s supervisor must sign a declaration on the Approved Handler application form stating that the applicant has knowledge of the substances. The application form will be distributed at the course training day. Cancellations please note: Cancellation must be received 2 days prior to the course or a fee of $50.00 will be charged.
